Usuthu! The dreaded Zulu war cry "Kill!" cried out by hundreds of brave, fierce warriors would strike fear into most men. The men who shout this battle cry have much to prove, for they are the unmarried warriors of the Zulu impis. Zulu tradition held that they could not choose a girl to marry until they had "washed their spears" in the blood of an enemy of the king. Therefore, closing and killing an enemy secured a bride and greatly enhanced status.
These young bleeders moved swiftly in extended order, sniping with their array of ancient firearms or hurling long spears some 30 yards with great accuracy.
Although a Zulu generally undressed for hand-to-hand combat, they were an awe-inspiring sight, sporting monkey tails, otter skins, cow tails, and crane feathers that could overwhelm an enemy by looks alone.
Warlord Games give you the opportunity to field entire unique regiments or some of the more traditional units, and however you build and paint them they will make a brave sight on the battlefield.
