With this box you can create a realistic representation of a US infantry unit during the Second World War and recreate historical battles and scenarios. The box provides a great basis for historical miniature projects and wargaming in the context of the Second World War in the United States.
The box contains enough Figures to represent a complete platoon with headquarters (HQ). In 1942, a company consisted of three platoons, with each platoon consisting of three sections of 12 men each at full strength, plus an HQ of five men.
Each section consisted of one NCO and five soldiers armed with Garand rifles. Earlier there was also a soldier with a Springfield rifle and grenade launcher. In addition, there were two scouts with Garand rifles, two assistants for the BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) and the BAR gunner. A sergeant was often armed with a Garand rifle, but could occasionally be equipped with a carbine or a Thompson submachine gun.
A total of 42 plastic Figures can be created with this box.
