Matelots come from the small islands scattered around Leonera in the ocean. They are men and women who cannot accept the idea of a lifetime of collecting shellfish, seaweed and pushing boredom and instead opt for the excitement of being a pirate.
Matelots are the heart of every pirate crew. They fight with the same boldness and ferocity as their leaders, armed with Pistols and cutlasses. Their strength lies in close combat, where they overwhelm their opponents with quick and precise attacks. However, they are somewhat less resilient than their more experienced comrades, making them agile but vulnerable fighters.
Tiradoras, on the other hand, provide pirates with relatively cheap and effective long-range firepower. Excellent marksmen, they can engage enemies from a distance, forming the pirates' first line of defense. Their ability to fire deadly shots from a safe distance makes them indispensable members of the crew who can strategically influence the Battlefield.
Together, Tiradoras and Matelots form a well-balanced retinue that perfectly complements the strengths of the pirate crew. While the Matelots cause chaos and confusion in close combat, the Tiradoras keep their enemies at a distance and weaken them with precise shots. This combination of close and long-range combat makes the pirates a versatile and dangerous force, ready to take on any challenge on the high seas.
