In a galaxy ravaged by the Last War, vast pirate fleets roam from system to system, spreading chaos through robbery, extortion, and enslavement. Amidst this lawlessness, thousands of independent operators—smugglers, relic hunters, freedom fighters, and Mercenaries—venture through the dead stars in small ships, doing whatever it takes to survive.

In Stargrave, players take on the role of one of these independent operators, each with a distinct background, strengths, weaknesses, and unique powers. Players must also hire a crew for their ship, recruiting a lieutenant with specialized skills along with soldiers, mechanics, hackers, and other experts. Some captains may even enlist strange alien beings with powers beyond any humanoid's abilities.

Once the crew is assembled, players dive into an exciting campaign. Throughout a series of missions, they’ll engage in recovering lost technology, stealing critical data, freeing captives, and resisting the ever-looming threat of pirate fleets. As crews gain experience, they grow in power and influence, hiring even more talented specialists. But the more powerful they become, the greater the risk that a pirate fleet will notice their activities and hunt them down!
