Primaris Hellblaster

Typically part of a Hellblaster Squad, a Hellblaster is a Primaris Space Marine intended to serve alongside its brethren in the heavy fire support role. Hellblaster Squads are armed with Mark III Belisarius Pattern Plasma Incinerators.

They serve a similar combat function to the Legion Tactical Support Squads of the ancient Space Marine Legions and today's Devastator Squads found among the Firstborn Astartes.

The Space Marines in a Chapter's fire support squads play a crucial role, providing fire cover for their battle line and close support brethren.

This could take the form of assassinating key targets, counter-battery salvos, or destroying enemy armor. Countless battles are won through their target selection, marksmanship and timely use of firepower.

Even armored combat vehicles quickly turn into glowing heaps of metallic slag. Deployed at the right time, a single Hellblaster squad can repel the thundering attack of an armored spearhead or take down even the most titanic alien devil.

Borrowing from the one-armed specializations of the ancient Space Marine legions, these squads are still strategically versatile. The various types of plasma incinerators carried by Hellblasters are light enough to be fired on the move, while still retaining the damage capacity to drop an enraged Hive Tyrant or Ork Battlewagon with sustained fire.
The only limiting factor to the usefulness of these squads is the relative scarcity - and potential instability - of their plasma weapons. As such, Hellblaster Squads are made up of the best marksmen any company can offer, and only resort to the supercharge of their plasma incinerators under truly dire circumstances.

They are not afraid of it, however, and more than one squad have martyred themselves in battle, turning the tide at the cost of their own immolation. Yet for every warrior who suffers such a fiery death, there is another who obliterates his enemies amid searing storms of starborn nuclear fury.

 The Primaris Hellblasters come as 250 components, and are supplied with 10 Citadel 32mm Round Bases and a transfer sheet.
