Primaris Aggressors
"Burn the heretic from his hiding place. Lay the torch on his foul idols and throw all he treasures into the flames.
— Attacker Zyphan Torl
Typically a member of an Aggressor Squad, an Aggressor is an Astartes fire support specialist found only in Primaris Space Marine formations.
Tasked with supporting close-range fire, Attackers have been outfitted with modified suits of Mark X Gravis Power Armor, converted to carry a shoulder-mounted Fragstorm grenade launcher.
They also carry Flamestorm Gauntlets, which unleash blazing streams of promethium at any enemies that get close - or they can be used to wade into the enemy's mobs and unleash an inferno that burns them all to ash.
The Space Marines in a Chapter's fire support squads play a crucial role, providing fire cover for their battle line and close support brethren. This could take the form of assassinating key targets, counter-battery salvos, or destroying enemy armor. Countless battles are won through their target selection, marksmanship and timely use of firepower.
Clad in heavy Mark X Gravis battleplates, Aggressor Squads advance against the enemy as walking fortresses of ceramite. Each member is equipped with a pair of Boltstorm Gauntlets, meaning an Aggressor Squad can put down a hail of boltfire.
Supported by back-mounted grenade launchers, an Aggressor Squad can wade into oncoming enemies and mow a bloody path through even the largest hordes. Should an enemy actually have enough bodies to sacrifice for living members to finally reach the source of the attack, they will be hit by Space Marines, who wield Power Fists in pairs. Very few live to tell the story.
Aggressors are more mobile than the heavily armored Centurions due to their sophisticated Gravis armor and are better able to negotiate rough Terrain. This makes them a more versatile troop type; While often deployed in specific circumstances or on specific Terrain, Aggressor Squads are also deployed in reserve to close breaches in gun lines or to lead an advance.
In densely populated environments, like a hive city or under the canopy of a wooded area, Devastator Squads would find their long-range weapons of little value. Aggressor Squads do well in such Terrain, however, as they are perfect for shooting on the move. The range of their weapons is not great, but when they get close enough to open fire, the result is a sweeping salvo of large caliber bolter shells that can shatter enemy attacks.
For particularly dense terrain or when facing enemies that cover the ground in large numbers, Aggressor Squads carry paired Flamestorm Gauntlets. When equipped in this way, their armor's elevated shoulder guards protect against the inevitable return of flames as they stride forward, arms emitting wide arcs of fire.
Fire flickers like an infernal ring around their armor as the Aggressor Squad advances, their gun barrels glowing like embers in the smoking darkness. Orc hordes and Tyranid swarms alike are incinerated, their brittle and blackened bones crackling to dust under the aggressors' kicks as they march straight to where the fighting is thickest. Some have said the aggressors live for such moments and linger on them too long.
You have the option to assemble 3 Aggressors or 2 Aggressors and a Sergeant; In both cases, a variety of options are available. There are 6 heads for the standard Aggressors, with respirators on the mask of those wearing Flarestorm Gloves, and 2 more specific heads for the Sergeant. The Flarestorm-wielding Aggressors have their own shoulder pads with larger blast shields to protect them from the immense operating temperatures of their weapons. Also included are relics and seals of purity, with specific examples of Sergeants with additional skulls. The Primaris Aggressors come as 107 components and are supplied with 3 Citadel 40mm Round Bases.
