Necromancer
Surrounded by twisting strands of shyishan energies and clutching crooked skull-tipped staffs, necromancers shuffle forward alongside the shambling hordes of undead. Though they may appear penniless, clad in filthy rags, their faces haggard and gaunt, these corrupt souls are vital components of the Gravelord armies. At their murmured commands, ranks of the living dead emerge from shallow pits, their eyes glittering with amethyst light. Through their forbidden arts, ranks of skeletons and whirling mobs of Deadwalkers grant an unholy boost, or the foe overwhelmed by crippling despair.
While no more naturally gifted than the Sepulchrist Orders of Shyish or the Amethyst Battlemages of the Collegiate Arcane, necromancers are willing to perform truly horrific feats in the quest for power: corpse snatching and sacrifice, experimentation on the living, unholy fusion of flesh. Many have been hollowed out by the dark energies that wield them. For every foe impaled with spears of necrotic magic and every arrow thwarted by a hastily raised bone shield, the necromancer trades a little more of their humanity, further chaining them to Nagash's tyrannical will.
It is not difficult to see why a mortal might be served with the study of necromancy. Be it the chance to bring loved ones back to life, dreams of raising the dead to avenge a hated rival, or simply the desire to conquer the deepest fear of death: a soul's passage into the underworlds, Each necromancer has their own story of why they took the first step on the path. Ultimately, however, they all lead to the same goal. With each terrible deed they accomplish, a necromancer becomes further stunned to their own corruption, fundamentally separated from the living, and ironically brought closer to the immortal state over which they once aspire to rule. Many necromancers dream of attaining immortality and becoming dreaded lichlords ruling empires of the dead. Few achieve this goal; Widely adopted, necromancers are placed in the service of Soulblight Vampires, the latter sharing some of their arcane knowledge with these fawning Creatures in exchange for keeping their cadaver armies at fighting strength.
This plastic kit contains one Necromancer - a finely detailed kit that comes in six components and is supplied with a 32mm round base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly.
