Shardspeakers of Slaanesh are Hedonites of Slaanesh sorcerers who were gifted a relic from the Temple of Warped Mirrors.
Slaanesh was fascinated by mirrors, and the Temple of Warped Mirrors, located deep within the inner circle of Slaanesh's realm, is a twisting labyrinth rivaling even Tzeentch's realm in complexity. Here are endless rows of mirrors that can reveal the hidden aspects of a soul. When the Temple of Twisted Mirrors was defiled by a legion of Khornatic Demons, Slaanesh was furious, but the Dark Prince quickly adapted, ensnaring the perfumed Djinns that roamed the Circles of Seduction and commanding them, a worthy mortal wizard, to single them out to deliver shard of the broken mirrors . The Chosen became the first Shardspeakers, and as they gazed deeper into the depths of the reflective fragments, the rapacious eyes of Slaanesh gazed deeper into their souls.
Shardspeakers play a role similar to that of soothsayers at the sybaritic carnivals, peering into the souls of Slaanesh followers with their hypnotic eyes to reveal hidden desires. In battle, they use their magic of pleasure and pain against their enemies.
Shardspeakers are armed with a vapor wand and shadow-encased claws, and with their dark incantations, a Shardspeaker can pull a man's nervous tissue from his body like thread, or force him to sacrifice his own bloodthirsty organs to Slaanesh. They are also accompanied by scented mist demons, which can be commanded with a delicate gesture by the caster to shield them from harm or suffocate enemies who get too close.
The Mirror Fragments bestowed on them still contain the power to enrapture the minds of mortals, and a Shardspeaker can channel this magic, choosing individual warriors to disrupt an enemy battleline, intoxicating them with visions of radiant glory or divine mania Combined with the whispered pleas, the Slaaneshi sorcerer bombards only the strongest of wills can resist.
