All major clans enlist the support of the smaller clans, whether on the battlefield, in court, or in commerce, the Takashi are no different, and for many generations the Makoto have enjoyed the protection of the Takashi in exchange for their wisdom and mate. The Makoto family is known for their wealth of knowledge and love for science. Kioshi has long been the voice of reason in Ryu's court, his soft words carrying more weight than minimoto steel to the heads of the Takashi.
