Description
While the cataphracts deserved all the credit, it was wave after wave of light cavalry that formed the core of a Sarmatian force. Whether wielding short spears or bows, these horsemen could continually unbalance an enemy and slowly mow them down until the cataphracts arrived.
Light cavalry is an essential part of any Sarmatian warband, capable of harassing the enemy force both at close range and at a distance, being armed with both bows and short javelins.
