The bridge in the town of Red Oak is the only one for miles both upstream and downstream and could be considered a strategic point for anyone with a military background. Considering how many have been killed trying to cross it, whether entering or exiting the city, the bridge actually deserves a place in the history Books. At least it would be if someone thought of writing a history of Red Oak. Bandits on the run, lawmen in pursuit, soldiers on both sides of the Ore War; You name them, they had a fatal shootout over that particular river crossing. Red Oak locals have been known to pat the truss structure as they walk over it to appease any bad mojo that may afflict the site where so much blood has spilled into the river.
