Liekeron the Executioner
In the world of the living, executioners are charged with the end of life, often by ax blow or noose. Those who knowingly kill both the innocent and the guilty - claiming they are "only doing their duty" - draw the eye of Nagash. The same goes for those who enjoy their work too much, even those who want to repent.
In death—particularly those killed by the relatives of the innocents they slaughter—these executioners are transformed into the ghostly form of a Lord Executioner. They are tasked by Nagash to slay heroes, champions, kings, and anyone who defies his laws.
Lord Executioners each wield a massive decapitation axe, and some wield the phantasmal echoes of implements from their past, such as a gallows, torture wheel, or rack. The Wraiths are also surrounded by skull faces clad in Balefire. These faces are the remaining ghosts of innocents slain by the executioner while they were still alive. They harass their killer, constantly cursing him, but also defend him against danger by blocking enemy spells and sword blows. They do this not as a courtesy, but so that he can never escape the bloodthirsty work of the executioner.
In his right hand he holds a Great Executioner's Ax, chipped and worn from constant use. He is accompanied by 3 enraged spirits, the screaming souls of those innocents wrongfully executed by the Executioner while he was alive and now bound to him forever.
