A Cryptek is one of the technologists and engineers of the Necron species, and they are responsible for the study and maintenance of the technology of the Necron dynasties. A Cryptek's powers mirror those of the psykers found among the galaxy's other intelligent species.
However, while psykers channel the energies of the warp to accomplish their seemingly supernatural feats, a cryptek uses their sophisticated knowledge of science and technology to manipulate the fundamental forces of the purely physical universe to create many of the same seemingly magical effects.
What a Cryptek often accomplishes with its technology is downright magical in the eyes of the "smaller" intelligent peoples of the galaxy.
Using their knowledge of arcane science, a Cryptek can turn an enemy into liquid adamantium, turn them into a blob of dwarven star matter, set air aflame, summon eerie lightning bolts, and other equally impressive feats of technological arcana.
This kit contains 18 components and a 50mm round base with which to assemble a Necron Cryptek armed with a staff of light and a Canoptek cloak.
