Less a tank than a mobile weapons platform, a Necron Annihilation Barge is named for its extreme destructive potential. While he is slow moving and sluggish, mobility is not his purpose. It excels instead in its aptly named role - annihilation.
With its devastating Tesla lightning weapons, an Annihilation Barge can wipe out entire formations of enemy infantry in a matter of moments; its bolts of electricity burn one target at a time.
An Annihilation Barge looks crescent-shaped with its main payload mounted on its keel. Its open form is held aloft by a sophisticated anti-gravity engine, allowing the barge to hover over any intervening Terrain that might otherwise impede its movement.
It's hard to imagine a vehicle more similar to those made by the Imperium of Man. In many ways, an Annihilation Barge bears even less resemblance to an Imperial tank than the similar anti-gravity vehicles of the T'au Empire.
Like the Necrons themselves, the Annihilation Barge is merely a skeletal framework to support their weapons. While it doesn't appear to have any armor, that's not entirely true. Most of his protection comes in the form of Quantum Shielding, which only exists at the moment of impact of enemy projectiles; keeping the vehicle light and manoeuvrable.
This multi-part plastic kit contains 84 components, two Citadel flying rods, one Citadel 60mm flying base, one Citadel 32mm Round base and two Necron transfer sheets with which to build either an Annihilation Barge or a Necron Catacomb Command Barge .
