Mutalith Vortex Beast

A Mutalith Vortex Beast is an absolute abomination of nature. It is a terrifying fusion of Monster and magic, a creature mutated beyond reason by the forces of Chaos.

In battle, a mutalith's tentacles smash into the enemy's ranks. Those not flung through the air are dragged screaming into the mutalith's maw, where hundreds of needle-like teeth shred flesh and crush bone to powder. As terrible as such a fate is, it is not the thought of being eaten alive by a mutalith that causes nightmares for your enemies.

Wherever a mutalith steps, mutation and madness follow. An orb of raw magic is anchored within the creature's body, a seething orb of chaos energy that warps and twists everything nearby. The flesh of the mutalith itself is forever healed and reshaped, sucked in and poured out again through the vortex. The same wisps of malevolent energy spread across the battlefield, mutating everything they touch.

When faced with a Mutalith, random mutations will plague enemy soldiers. For each warrior that grows an additional limb, another transforms into a gleaming crystal statue or a bunch of squirming three-eyed fish. Heroes have died when their own spikes broke from their backs to strangle them, and warriors have watched in horror as their flesh melted and fell from their bones. Worse still are the times when the vortex pulses and entire regiments are engulfed in waves of mutating power, causing their bodies to transform into the form of a hideous Spawn of Chaos.

This multi-part plastic kit contains 78 components with which to make either a Mutalith Vortex Beast or a Slaughterbrute. The kit is supplied with a Citadel 120mm x 92mm Oval base.
