Mortisan Boneshaper
Crafted from the remains of the finest crafters in all of Shyish, each Mortisan Boneshaper considers itself a crafter beyond the veil of death. Many hail from Anadiria, the underworld of creative souls whose paradise consists in practicing art for its own sake for the rest of eternity. Nagash has given these once peaceful souls this opportunity, but perhaps not in the way they might have chosen. Instead of creating sculptural marvels and intricate bas-reliefs, instead of celebrating beauty and skill, their talents focus on the business of warfare.
Any of these masters of ossification can create a new Bonereaper construct in minutes. They do this by stripping the bone of the tithe in large paring loops and pulling it out with a series of elaborate gestures. They then reconstruct this essential resource through the magic of their craft into the strong but flexible bone material of the ossiarchs. It is they who repair any damage Bonereaper creations have suffered; Sometimes the bone of a single femur is enough to reattach a shattered rib cage or reattach a severed arm. They keep close contact with the Gothizzar Harvesters, who salvage bone material after each fight, and have a constant supply of building materials at their disposal.
When not at the forefront, it is the duty of the Boneshapers to construct the massive buildings and fortresses that the Ossiarchs construct to the glory of Nagash. In doing so, they can enjoy something that approaches true creativity and try to outdo each other in the splendor of their work. In truth, these too are distortions of the sculptor's art into something martial, terrible and morbid, designed only to worship an endless regime of death.
