Tempestus Scions (sing. Tempestus Scion) (pronounced "Tem-PEST-ess cy-ONS"), or as they are known in Low Gothic, Storm Troopers, are the elite special operations forces of the Astra Militarum and Inquisition, but officially belong to a subdivision of the Adeptus Administratum known as the Militarum Tempestus. Trained in the martial arts from adolescence by the Schola Progenium, Stormtroopers are perhaps the finest soldiers ever to serve in the Imperial Guard.

Tempestus Scions are cold, efficient killers whose deadly firepower turns enemies into smoldering heaps of corpses. Trained in the Schola Progenium, these men commit themselves to a rigorous program of physical and mental indoctrination that takes them to the pinnacle of human conditioning. Loyal to the Emperor, Tempestus Scions provide Imperial High Command with a core of flexible, nearly incorruptible soldiers. If used sparingly, they can be counted on to complete any mission, no matter how deadly. Dashing into battle aboard armored transports or plummeting on grav-chutes, the Scions are the sharp edge of the Imperial Guard's war machine.

Each squad of Tempestus Scions is made up of seasoned warriors, trained and equipped to the highest standards. Protected by rigid armor plates and reinforced cerami plates, the Scions wield a sophisticated array of powerful weapons that perfectly complement their shock attack role, and their discipline is such that they can use their deadly firepower to the absolute optimum.

Unlike the Astra Militarum Guardsmen, Scions undergo a brutally uncompromising training regime that ensures only the most experienced and determined among them ever see battle. The default weapon for Tempestus Scions is the hot-shot lasgun. Each of these lasguns is equipped with a powerful external backpack power cell, allowing them to penetrate thicker armor than the mass-produced lasguns used by lowly guardsmen. When used against heavily armored enemy infantry, Tempestus Scions wield Hot-Shot Volley Guns. With a more powerful explosion and extreme laser fire rate, they're perfect for taking down heretical Astartes and Xenos beasts alike.

You have the option to replace the hot shot laser guns with a choice of five additional special weapons: plasma cannon, melta gun, grenade launcher, flamethrower or hot shot volley gun. This kit also includes a Vox Caster backpack that allows one of your Tempestus Sprouts to take on the role of Vox Cast Operator. This kit can also be assembled as a Tempestus Scions Command Squad. It is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Thin Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.
