IN HOC SIGNO VINCES

"Conquer in this sign". The legions were greatly expanded and modified by the reforms of Diocletian and Constantine, but by the late 6th century they had become almost unrecognizable. Still, legionaries fought throughout the Roman world against Pictish and Irish raiders in Britain, Vandals in North Africa, Sassanid Persians in Mesopotamia, and the never-ending onslaught of wandering Germanic and Hunnic tribes. Mostly they fought in brutal civil wars to determine who would become emperor.

This hard plastic set allows you to build up to 24 legionnaires with spathe, spear and plumbata along with two types of standard and full authority. This set offers three different helmet variants: the Niederbieber, Ridge and Spangen helmets as well as the "Panonnian" fur hat. There are two types of crest options and additional heads to create orders. This set can also be used to create armored warriors for many Dark Age armies including the Goths, Burgundians, Saxons, Franks and the Romano-British, among others.

You can also pair this box to provide up to six units worth of orders for our upcoming ARMY BUILDER set WAALR003! And keep an eye out for more sets in the Decline and Fall range.
