Krondy's son of the Dragon

Krondys, son of Dracothian, is one of the remaining Draconite princes along with his brother Karazai. Once he ruled the Draconith Empire until its destruction by Kragnos, after defeating the god of earth Krondys went into exile. With the dawn of the Age of Sigmar and the Era of the Beast, he has ended his exile and leads the forces of the Stormcast Eternals and the new Draconith.

Before the Order pantheon came into being, Krondys ruled the Draconith Empire alongside his brother Karazai. The two princes were scholars interested in lore that eventually led to their learning of the existence of the Slann and how to communicate with them telepathically. When the Kragnos war against the Draconith nearly wiped out their people, the two princes fell into a trance-like state of desperation and sought Lord Kroak's help. A bargain was made; In exchange for the Seraphon's help, the Drake Lords agreed to give their remaining eggs to their voidfaring temple ships.

The Alliance confronted Kragnos on Twinhorn Peak. While the battle initially went in Kragnos' favor, he was soon defeated and sealed in the summit. After the battle, a grief-stricken Krondys journeyed into the wilds of Azyr in search of knowledge to restore his people. While Krondys was aware of Sigmar and his pantheon, he avoided contact for fear that his old wounds would be reopened. When the Age of Chaos came, he did not intervene, believing that Sigmar's Empire would perish like that of the Draconith. However, he was surprised by the bravery of Sigmar and his newly formed Stormcast Eternals, who observed the purge of Azyr and even intervened on behalf of the Stormcasts to drive the last remaining Dragon Ogors off Azyr. During this conflict, he fought alongside Lord-Commander Bastian Carthalos, leading to the two developing mutual respect.

When the Stormcast Eternals set out to reclaim the realms, Krondys decided to become a guardian hermit dragon, watching over the younger races and protecting the outer wilds of Azyr from the horrors that lurk there. In some cases, the drake even traveled to other realms. However, after escaping Kragnos during the Era of the Beast, he gave up his exile. He urged the Seraphon to release the Draconith raised in their ships and reunite with Karazai. Together, the brothers led an army of draconith so vast it eclipsed Mallus's glow. The Paie introduced themselves to Sigmar, and after a week-long council mediated by Stardrakes, they swore the Pact of Draconis for the Union of Stormcast and Draconith, resulting in the formation of the first Stormdrake Guard.

As his old failures continue to gnaw at him, Krondys has decided to once again step up as king, considering himself an ally of Sigmar, and leading both Stormcast and Draconith into battle.

Krondys is armed with natural weapons such as an apex maw, massive claws of the drake lord, and a cataclysmic tail. As one of the greatest Draconith Lords, he can unleash a raging storm, whirlpools of corrosive flame that will devour those caught in the blast.

In addition, he is a powerful spellcaster and his powers are further enhanced by the Regalia Fulmentarus. Krondys directed the forging of the arcane cloak using blacksmithing skills known only to the Draconith, and in addition to being a symbol of the Draconith and Stormcast Alliance, enhances its ability to channel the storms of Azyr. He can cast powerful spells like the Atavistic Storm, which combines the magic of Azyr with the lost magic of the Draconith to unleash a barrage of elemental storms, sending out blinding storms or lightning bolts in a moment, only to be followed by a hail of magnitude become meteors or blizzards that freeze to the bone.
