The Knight Valiant is a super-heavy Imperial Knight that uses the Dominus-class chassis and dual plasma cores to power its myriad weapon systems. It is primarily used as a melee attack runner. Although slower than other Knights, this pattern benefits from significantly higher firepower and much thicker armor than its smaller counterparts.
The Knight Valiant defeats its enemies through the simple principle of using overwhelming firepower at close range. The Valiant marches relentlessly into battle, shots scattering uselessly from its ion shield, unleashing a punishment so devastating on its targets in so short a time that they can neither fight back nor bear.
Even a single Knight Valiant can break the back of a charging enemy horde or shatter the center of the enemy battle line like a battering ram breaking through a castle gate. When a full lance of these fearsome war machines stalks into battle, they can shred an enemy army like matchsticks.
The Knight Valiant's main armaments are its conflagration cannon and thundercoil harpoon. The former is a delightfully unsubtle weapon consisting of three giant Knight-quality flamers linked together and fed from armored promethium reservoirs. When triggered, the Conflagration Cannon spews an inevitable blaze of fire, washing over everything in range and reducing everything to blackened ash. Thus the Knight Valiant burns the Emperor's enemies for the worthless heretics they are.
The Thundercoil Harpoon is a slightly more unusual weapon: a giant adamantium spear fitted with pneumatic grappling hooks and attached to an electro-metallic generator with thick chains so that it can be fired and then rolled back over and over again. Not only does its impaling mass inflict massive wounds on larger targets and instantly crush smaller victims, but once the harpoon has reached its target, the Noble Pilot can trigger his generator and send a massive electrical charge through the chain. Lightning-fast electrogheists leap from harpoons, cooking monstrous beasts inside out and overloading the circuits and power supplies of enemy war machines.
Combined with the pounding fire of its dual-linked Siegebreaker Cannons and the inevitable detonations of its Shieldbreaker Missiles, it's not hard to see how many enemy forces will soon crumble when the Valiant turns her wrath on them. Those few that hold their own often earn a respectful salute from the Knight Valiant's pilot before the next bombardment annihilates them completely.
This kit comes as 141 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 170x105mm Oval base. An Imperial Knights transfer sheet is included.
