The power of the Waaagh! can take many forms, most of them violent, dangerous and unpredictable. In the Ironjawz war clans, it is the weirdnob shamans who unleash this wild green energy in some of its most spectacular effects. While a Mega Boss is a focus for the power of the Waaagh! amplified and drawn to them, weirdnobs can unleash them with devastating if unpredictable results. Enemy casters would do well not to dismiss the cunning power of a weirdnob shaman as they stagger forward with their eyes insanely wide. More than a sneering Tzeentchian Arcanite or Sylvaneth Branchwraith has learned to their detriment that a magical duel with a weirdnob is akin to putting your face in the fire and hoping for the best.
Weirdnob Shaman are living conduits for the Waaagh!, empowered by Gorkamorka to transform this churning green energy into ominous magical effects. Not even the Ironjawz know why some orruks become shamans, although it might have something to do with getting hit really hard in the head - this is the best way to change an orruk's mind, or a really good one to give idea. To lend weight to this theory, weirdnobs never seem to have complete control of their bodies, and they twist and twitch while chattering and staring wild-eyed or speaking into the air.
Other Ironjawz don't usually mess with weirdnobs. There have been many reports of bored Brutes poking the brawl shaman with a stick just to see what would happen, only to have their heads violently turned inside out. All orruks know weirdnobs are crazy, but they're also devastating in combat, and the bigger the junk, the more impressive the results of toting a weirdnob along. It can be dangerous to get too close in combat, as Orruk heads tend to explode when a weirdnob unleashes its power. However, Ironjawz think it's worth the risk to see a weirdnob "walk off".
Much like the smell of a weirdnob, Waaagh! Spells are almost always offensive in nature. In its most limited form, this can be a shower of green fists that smashes enemies into the ground, or a wave of crushing force that flattens part of the battlefield, as if a giant world grunta had fallen over in its stable. When enough Orruks gather, a Weirdnob can become so energized that it could spew out a green river of searing ectoplasmic energy that collapses fortress walls and sweeps away cities, or summons a foot the size of a mountain to power an entire army to throw in the face.
