Legions Imperialis: Lightning Fighter Squadron

The Lightning Fighters represent the pinnacle of high-speed suborbital craft, meticulously engineered for the critical roles of rapid interception, interdiction, and surgical-strike missions. These formidable aircraft are characterized by their extraordinary speed, formidable armament, and cutting-edge avionics systems, making them the ideal choice for establishing air superiority over the battlefield. Unsurprisingly, they have garnered a particular following among experienced pilots known for their daring and audacity.

The Lightning Fighters' swift and agile design allows them to respond rapidly to emerging threats, making them the first line of defense against enemy incursions. With their potent arsenal of weaponry, they are capable of delivering precise and devastating strikes against ground targets or opposing aircraft, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

This multipart plastic kit builds six epic scale Lightning Fighters. These interceptors sport a powerful nose-mounted weapon – each can be armed with twin multi-lasers, the so-called 'Lightning Strike' variant, and two can alternatively be armed with twin lascannons. The kit also includes a selection of hellstrike missiles and skystrike missiles to mount under their wings.

These models can also be used in games of Aeronautica Imperialis by mounting them on appropriate Aeronautica Imperialis Bases, sold separately.
