Description

Once the largest and possibly most famous ship in the world, HMS Hood represented the supremacy of British naval power. Although attached to the Home Fleet, the Hood took part in the sinking of the French fleet at Oran. She was sunk by the Bismarck in 1941 after aimed fire from the German ship caused a massive explosion on the Hood that sank within minutes, leaving only three survivors - surely one of the most spectacular deaths of a capital ship.
