German soldiers were assigned thousands of non-combat tasks in occupied territories and within their own borders. Soldiers could be tasked with guarding prisoner camps and secret military facilities, serving as bodyguards for higher commands, performing regular guard duty, and military police duties. In some cases, they were chosen from the best and brightest, but most were just average men in unexciting jobs. Sometimes, however, even the seemingly mundane role was not necessarily safe.
This set includes enough Parts to build 30 German sentries, officers, military police (Feldgendarmen), and dog handlers. Weapons and Equipment items include MP40 submachine guns, Mauser rifles, Luger Pistols, flashlights, and binoculars. The Figures can be modeled while checking papers, saluting, surrendering, and even smoking a quick cigarette. There are also 10 German Shepherds!
