The Goliath is a type of Imperial construction and mining vehicle. These sturdy machines are often used by Genestealer Cults when they go to war.

Built from the plans of a ubiquitous STC, Goliath Trucks are sturdy transporters originally designed to haul Imperial factotes through crypt complexes and mining tunnels. The vehicle's dense and robust construction makes it resilient to the most hostile subterranean environments, and its folded layers of chemically treated permasteel give it a measure of protection against every industrial threat the Empire has encountered to date. Even an unmodified Goliath truck can survive acid storms, hurricanes, malfunctioning radiation chambers, and eruptions of volatile toxins. While the Genestealer cult operates quietly, their Goliaths are used for everything from underground transportation to storing ammunition. The durglass panes in each viewing slot can be raised to make the vehicles airtight - as useful for surviving the suffocating confines of a hazard mine as the toxic atmosphere of combat. For defense, they are often equipped with heavy machine guns and two arrays of autocannons. Her reputation is long held; even the Imperial Guard has respect for the mighty Goliath.

No one takes a second look at a column of Goliath trucks carrying ragged miners through the streets, and the iconography adorning them is dismissed as workplace graffiti. Then, when the magus' or patriarch's mental stimulus signals that the time is right, the spawn in these craft open their hatches and blurt out, some of whom are mistaken for humans even at this Point.

The most common variant of the Goliath Truck is known as the Goliath Rockgrinder. Though compact, the Goliath Rockgrinder is built to withstand rockfalls, dam breaches, and the fiery backwash of its clearance incinerator, heavy seismic cannon, or heavy mining laser. Those huddled within it have great protection from all but the most powerful weapons. The massive drilldozer blade at the front of the Rockgrinder features arrays of grinders capable of cracking mineral seams and boring tunnels through bedrock. These are put to a far more sinister purpose in wartime, when used to slice through swarms of enemy infantry and serve as battering rams. Against a disciplined foe, the instigators of the attack could soon be surrounded and crushed, and although the Rockgrinder has a thick torso, it cannot long withstand the concentrated fire of heavy weapons. Still, these vehicles are good for push attack tactics.

 This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble one Goliath Rockgrinder, an armored weapons platform for the Genestealer Cults. It features a range of weapon options - heavy machine gun, mining laser, drill dozer blade, clearance incinerator and seismic cannon - and offers a ton of customization - the crew members have their own options, and the Rockgrinder can be modeled to sit low on its wheels due to the weight of the weapons it carries.
