Genestealer Cults Nexos
A Nexos is a type of Genestealer hybrid who is an accomplished strategist. By analyzing and interpreting every subtle ebb and flow of combat, they can identify vulnerable positions their kin can exploit and point out potential flank routes and underground passages perfect for staging sudden ambushes.
While the Primus is a front-line battlefield commander, the Nexos is more akin to a rear echelon officer. Coordinating billions of indoctrinated souls on a planetary scale, Nexi are unique bioforms created by a Patriarch to take over the full-scale organization and execution of insurrections. These Creatures are imbued with a fraction of the cerebral power of a patriarch, allowing them to function as a cult's central nervous system. These gifts grant them strange psychometric powers, allowing them to absorb the memories and consciousness of indoctrinated organisms and process the sensory data into a steady stream of strategic directions and operational commands. By placing their hands on the skin of a Genestealer-stained creature, Nexos can absorb their genetic memory enough that they can see the subject's entire life. Such is the awesome cerebral power of a Nexos that it can segment millions of these mental imprints in its brain and create an incredibly complex three-dimensional view of the battlefield once those it absorbs occupy the field. However, this process is exhausting for both the subject and the initiator since the human body is not designed to channel such potent neural processes. This puts physical wear and tear on the Nexos.
By analyzing and interpreting every subtle ebb and flow of combat, a Nexos can identify vulnerable positions for its kin to exploit, and point out potential flank routes and underground passages perfect for staging sudden ambushes. Enemy commanders - especially those of the Imperial Guard - too often dismiss cultist uprisings as disorganized mobs unable to discern the true cunning of their enemies' actions. Meanwhile, a Nexos lurks in hiding, issuing orders across the battlefield via vox.
In battle, Nexi rarely emerge from their hidden lairs unless they need a direct view of the battle or to absorb the memories of enemy troops. In a rare situation where they come face-to-face with the enemy, they call in squads of hybrid Genestealers and deviant bodyguards.
This kit comes as 10 plastic components, and is supplied with a 40mm round base.
