Genestealer Cults Abominant
Abominants are massive Genestealer hybrids that lead Aberrants in battle.
A champion in its clutch of aberrants, Abominants are misshapen wrecking balls of muscle and chitlin that wield a heavy club instrument in combat. This Monster is so hideous that soldiers recoil at the mere sight of it.
Like the Aberrants from which they were created, Abominants are born from a deviation from the breeding cycle of a typical Genestealer cult. This aberration is most common in the later stages of a cult's lifespan, and an abomination begins life like any other aberration. After his birth, however, his power is nurtured and elevated to new levels by a patriarch via a spirit wyrm familiar. The Familiar implants a portion of the Patriarch's own biomass into the chosen Aberrant with an organ resembling a Genestealer's kiss. Once the injected mutagen is implanted in the chosen aberrant, the creature is reshaped through a long and agonizing process. Its already robust body grows even larger and more powerful as its bones fracture and reshape into an even more powerful skeletal structure. It gains powerful new regeneration abilities that help it survive this process and survive in battle. The spirit wyrm familiar does not disappear after being given this strange gift, but instead continues to wield the will of the patriarch upon the loathsome.
In battle, Aberrants eagerly follow a loathsome into battle, regarding the loathsome as some sort of holy, blessed figure. In truth, an Abominant is as dumb and dimwitted as any other Aberrant with an intellect not much greater than that of an infant. During war, an Abominant is used to smash, crush, and destroy with brute force. This slaughter affords the creature a morbid pleasure, and to deny it those pleasures is to infuriate the abominable that can last for days.
This bundle contains a single multi-part plastic miniature featuring an Abominant wielded by a Mindwyrm Familiar. It comes in 11 components and is supplied with a 40mm round base.
