Elector Battlefleet Set Information

The Imperial war machine is based on a single concept - efficiency. Having the right weaponry for a battle is often the key to victory, and having access to different ship configurations allows an admiral to have what they need, when they need it. With extensive rail networks connecting Prussia to the other Germanic nations of the Empire, the Navy (known as the Imperial Navy) chose to outfit a new generation of warships and support ships with compatible rails for armament, allowing for quick and easy swapping of weapons and cargo. This enables the Empire to be flexible in responding to the requirements of specific operations without incurring the costs or long build times associated with producing specialized ships for those requirements. Should a ship be needed to bombard an enemy coastal battery, a Blucher cruiser can be converted into an Augustus bombardment cruiser within a matter of hours. At the Wilhelmshaven Imperial Shipyard, the record for converting the warship Stralsund stands at three hours. The cruiser had returned fresh from chasing Corsairs off the coast of Heligoland, and in those few hours, the yard crew had removed its still steaming Volt gun batteries and installed Gustav heavy bombardment batteries instead.

More than one hundred and fifty Elector-type hulls have been constructed in the fleet yards at Kiel and Wilhelmshaven. Many of them now serve as Elector-class battleships, the backbone of the Empire's Navy. One in ten Elector hulls is of sufficient quality to be further reinforced and equipped to become a Kaiser-class Heavy Battleship. Often, the last thing a target sees off the Elector ships is the Kaiser's Salute, a full broadside of their heavy Volt gun batteries to port or starboard. Some ships, such as the Heidelberg-class Battlecruisers, carry their own locomotives to ensure rapid and efficient loading, unloading, and conversion in any port. Alongside this pair of Bavarian Eagle-class thrusters, the Heidelberg Battlecruisers feature extensive logistics crews and control centers to execute successful military operations.

The Elector Battlefleet Set includes seven multi-part plastic and resin miniatures:

  • 1x Elector-class Battleship (Each battleship can alternatively be built as SMS Brandenburg, Heidelberg, SMS Holtzendorff, Kaiser, or SMS Tirpitz Class)
  • 2x Blucher-class Cruisers (Each cruiser can alternatively be built as Augustus or Schaumburg Class)
  • 4x Arminius-class Frigates

Please note:

  • The miniatures are delivered unpainted, and assembly work is required.
  • Unit Cards are not included and can be found on the Dystopian Wars website.
