Dwarf Warriors

Dwarf Warriors are the backbone of Dwarf armies, forming the bulk of the front-line infantry. In times of war, clan leaders call upon all Dwarfs old enough to fight, transforming craftsmen like stone-carvers, brewers, and minters into formidable soldiers. Clad in well-forged mail and steel helms, and wielding axes, these warriors channel their industrious nature into warfare.

Dwarfs are strong, resilient fighters, known for their broad shoulders and robust builds. Though not quick, they can march for days under heavy burdens, maintaining a steady pace. Their momentum in battle is formidable, often breaking enemy lines and carving through foes like Elven phalanxes, Orc formations, and Skaven masses.

Respected by all who face them, Dwarf Warriors are determined and unwilling to retreat, even when outnumbered and in unfavorable conditions. Protected by heavy mail and skilled in using overlapping shield walls, they absorb blows that would break other races. Their resilience and anger in the face of suffering make them relentless in battle, regrouping and charging anew with beards bristling and axes swinging.

Vengefulness is a core trait of Dwarfs. Once a Dwarf is consumed by grudge-hatred, their fury is Stark and harsh, their violence unremitting. Forgiveness is not in their nature, and even allies may turn away from their all-consuming wrath. Dwarfs are cold and merciless in battle, driven by a deep sense of vengeance.

In most clans, Dwarfs supply and maintain their own arms and armor, treating them as treasured family heirlooms passed down through generations. Some clans, like the Goldshields and Ironhammers, have developed distinctive war gear, while others show their allegiances through subtle symbols or colors.

Though all Dwarfs are warriors, some isolated clans have become especially battle-hardened and are highly respected by their kin. These Dwarf Warriors embody the strength, resilience, and indomitable spirit of their people, standing as unyielding defenders of their holds and way of life.
