Druchii Violet

The Games Workshop Citadel Washes are specifically designed to bring out the shading in models. After the basic color (base) has been applied, the model can usually be covered with the shade. A large, comprehensive brush is used for this, with which the model is generously "soaked" until the shade has been applied to all areas.

Alternatively, the model can be painted with the "Blackline" technique with a finer brush, only the areas are painted with the shade into which the shading is to flow later on Space Marine power armour.
