Blightlord Terminators are an elite formation of Chaos Terminators used exclusively within the ranks of the Death Guard Traitor Legion. Relentless and unstoppable, these elite Death Guard warriors are forever bound to mutant Cataphractii pattern Terminator armor.

With cannons blazing, they strut forward, mercilessly mowing down row after row of the enemy. Combo Weapons, Plague Spewers and Blight Launchers add to the salvo and reduce infantry and vehicles to slop.

Blightlord Terminators are an elite formation of shock troopers used exclusively by the Death Guard. Bound to their Cataphractii warplate, these deadly warriors relentlessly stalk the enemy's battle lines and mow down the enemy's ranks with contemptible ease. Finally, the Terminators launch a lumbering attack, wielding huge weapons capable of hacking and bludgeoning the enemy. Flails of corruption entangle weapons and limbs in hissing, caustic barbs. Bubotic Axes and Baleswords tear lacerated wounds, oozing a thousand smallpox. By the time the Blightlord Terminators march out in search of new victims, their enemies will be nothing but maggot-riddled corpses.

Combining the protective powers of the Cataphractii warplate with the sickened resilience bestowed by Nurgle's gifts, Blightlord Terminators are frighteningly difficult to kill. They take great pride in this fact, scornfully advancing into the teeth of the fiercest firestorms and scoffing at their enemies' attempts to strike them down. That arrogance stings their Death Guard brethren, but the Blightlords make such exceptional shock troops that they are overlooked—or even tolerated—by their masters. Most Death Guard Vectoriums contain at least one band of Blightlord Terminators for attack, boarding, and sudden teleport attacks, and it is a rare ship of the Plague Fleets that sets off on the warp tides without a complement of Blightlords on board.

Due to the time they spend embarking on ailing warships, Blightlord Terminators are saturated with Empyric Entropy. This rot spills over them in waves, rotting flesh and corroding metal in an area around them. Where the Blightlords step, creeping veins of corruption creep outward like cobwebs of rot and rust. An enemy need only be gripped by them for these energies to begin to consume them in agony, while vehicles and fortifications exposed to the Blightlords' malevolent presence soon collapse and crumble.

On many Death Guard warships, Blightlords serve as an elite garrison, ready to defend the bridge, magazines, or enginarium at any moment. During the Battles of the Void, Plague Fleet captains bring their ships close to an enemy ship, allowing massive formations of Blightlords to teleport right aboard. Like parasites hatching in the body of an unfortunate victim, the Death Guard Terminators begin their destructive rampage. The Blightlords weave their way through narrow corridors and corrode through sealed bulkheads, ruthlessly crushing the ship's defenders and spreading their corruption across the decks.
