Custodian Wardens

Wardens are identified by the ceremonial robes they wear over their armor. These are a mark of their veteran status, for each Custodian Warden has experienced at least five Terran centuries in the service of the Emperor. Wardens who do not wield their order's legendary Warden Spears wield heavy-bladed castellan axes. These weapons lend themselves to an elegant and brutal style of combat, in which the wielder uses their exceptional strength combined with the swing of their axe, unleashing thunderous blows that switch directions with breathtaking suddenness to smash through their victims' cover and heads and limbs chop off The Wardens can also unleash concentrated salvos of bolter fire from their weapon hilts, mowing down those who try to stay outside of their devastating blade range.

The Wardens are known among their comrades as level-headed and infinitely patient Wardens. Assuming the robes that mark their position, they swear binding oaths to fight as immobile guardians, a living fortress of auramite and sinew that no foe will ever breach. Each Warden's oaths are personal, written by the Warden himself after a full Terran year of sitting in meditation on the sheer ledges of the Imperial Palace's Gallows Tower. Breaking their vows would be worse than death for these warriors, and their determination to uphold them fuels their already formidable will to a truly frightening intensity.

This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble a squad of 5 Custodian Wardens. Easily identified by the ceremonial robes they wear over their auramite armor, they are usually splendid to behold - as with all Adeptus Custodes, every surface of their armor is absolutely covered in beautifully sculpted detail, with gems, eagles, lightning bolts and filigree all over them see. Each is armed with either a Warden's Spear or Castellan's Axe, 5 of which are included in the kit. The helms, helm springs, and thigh plates in the kit are interchangeable, making your Guardians unique.

The kit can optionally build a Shield Captain who has a choice of 2 bare heads, a unique breastplate, unique shoulder pads and his own set of ceremonial robes - armed with a choice of Castle Ax or Guardian Spear and wielding a Misericord. In addition, 1 model can be assembled as a Vexilus Praetor - in addition to the standard weapons, he wields a richly decorated vexilla.

This kit comes as 78 components, and is supplied with 5 Citadel 40mm Round Bases.

With this kit you can build a unit of five Custodian Wardens.

They are easily recognized by their ceremonial robes and auramite armor. Each model is equipped with either a guardian spear or a castle axe, 5 of each are included in the kit.

Optionally, you can also build an Adeptus Custodes Shield Captain.
