As the fires of London raged on, The Cult emerged from the ashes, born anew.

The Cult represents a group of fanatical followers devoted to the enigmatic Burning Man. This entity, shrouded in mystery, commands forces composed of monstrous aberrations and humans who have been touched by the chaotic magics that exist in the interstitial spaces between worlds. An army aligned with the Cult of the Burning Man excels in employing hit-and-run tactics and harnessing the power of magic to overcome their adversaries. Their approach to warfare is marked by unpredictability and an embrace of the chaotic forces at their disposal.

The resolution of conflicts in The Other Side relies on a standard deck of cards, which is referred to as the Fate Deck. The mechanics are straightforward: players flip a card, add their relevant stat, and then compare the result to a specified target number.

One of the key features of the Fate Deck is the Control Hand, which provides players with a strategic advantage. Cards held in the Control Hand can be strategically used to replace the cards that are flipped during gameplay. This enables players to ensure the success of crucial actions and maneuvers, reducing the likelihood of unfavorable outcomes. With this system in place, players can bid farewell to the frustration of consistently rolling low numbers and exercise greater control over the course of the game by playing the right cards at the right Moments.
