Welcome to the world of Crackle Paint - Winterfell Plains, a fast-drying, water-based paint that cracks as it dries to create a unique pattern in just one step. Apply the paint directly from the bottle to the surface. There is no need to apply multiple coats.
If the surfaces are overly smooth, we recommend lightly sanding them to create a rougher surface and improve the hold of the cracks. A matte primer is usually sufficient to ensure hold.
Apply the paint directly or with a brush. Depending on the thickness of the application, different sized cracks may be created. Do not use a hot air dryer to speed up the drying process. Allow the paint to dry naturally. Note that irregular or very small surfaces can affect the size of the cracks.
