Description
Contrary to the feudal obligations of the Hundred Kingdoms, the city-states have embraced a higher ideal for their people and their armed forces. The bulk of their army is made up of hoplites, citizen-soldiers mobilized to protect their city and interests. Armed and outfitted by the advanced forges of their city-state and drilled relentlessly, a phalanx of hoplites is a nearly immovable obstacle on the battlefield, able to hold their own against the best a challenger could throw at them .
