Chaos Space Marines Havocs
Chaos Space Marine Havocs are the Heretic Astartes variant of the Space Marine Devastator, heavy weapons specialists trained to destroy the enemy from afar. Squads of Havocs provide devastating anti-infantry and anti-tank firepower, dominating much of the battlefield with volley after punishing volley. Some squads of Heretic Astartes carry a high proportion of heavy weapons to support their brethren with fire. Known as Havocs, these squads offer devastating anti-infantry and anti-tank firepower and dominate much of the battlefield with their merciless barrages of fire. A Chaos Havoc Squad typically consists of 4 Chaos Space Marines armed with heavy weapons and an Aspiring Champion of Chaos who serves as the squad leader.
Such is the bloodthirsty thrill of launching heavy fire into enemy ranks that many Havocs become obsessed with the power their weapons bestow upon them. They see themselves as gods of the battlefield, plunging the enemy's insect pest into oblivion with every swipe of their fingers. Over time, a warp Havoc Squad may find its heavy weapons becoming a part of itself, extensions of its own physical body that can never be laid down or abandoned.
Husks mix with flesh, blood plasma becomes highly volatile, and ammo pods become hungry second maws, snapping and snarling for more bullets. Eventually Chaos Space Marine and weapon become one and the same entity.
This is the path of chaos - where the warp invades realspace, it is not nature that defines form, but a deadly psychic compulsion - the ugliness in a Havoc's soul is manifested in flesh for all to see.
Havocs often employ armored rhino transports, allowing a Havoc squad to quickly claim a high ground or other strategic vantage point from which to decimate the enemy with their heavy weapons. A Chaos Rhino also allows Havocs to quickly regroup if all of their targets have been destroyed or an enemy attack is imminent. In this way, the Havocs are always ready to lend their supporting firepower to their corrupt brethren where the fighting is heaviest.
The set includes 4 multipart plastic Havocs that can be equipped with a heavy weapon chosen from the following options in the kit:
- 2 autocannons
- 2 heavy bolters
- 2 lascannons
- 2 missile launchers
- 1 reaper chaincannon
Also included is a multipart plastic Aspiring Champion that can be equipped with any of the following weapon options in the kit:
- 1 plasma gun
- 1 meltagun
- 1 flamer
- 1 power maul
- 1 chainsword
