These scaly bandits dwell within the mountains of Middle-earth. Cave dragons are fierce territorial Creatures and will fiercely defend their homes against intruders who threaten their young. They smack and bite those who disturb their nests, not caring who they might harm. This made them natural enemies of the Dwarves, who constantly dig deeper in search of valuable jewels and metals, often disturbing the Creatures' lairs. A cornered cave dragon is even more dangerous than usual, as it snaps its jaws shut and lashes its tail with frenzied ferocity to drive back those who threaten it. Cave dragons are known to devour warriors whole in the heat of battle before continuing their territorial rampage.
A cave dragon is a powerful Monster in the Moria army list. As a Lesser Hero, up to six followers can accompany him.
The Cave Dragon miniature comes as 10 components from Citadel resin, and is supplied with a Citadel 120mm x 92mm Oval base.
