Captain in Gravis Armour

The Mark X Tacticus armor is a suit that combines the most effective elements of the plate patterns of Horus Heresy's ancestors with newer developments in power armor technology. The Mk.X was developed by Magos Belisarius Cawl at the same time as the Primaris Marines. These suits are currently being worn into battle by Primaris Space Marines during the unfolding Indomitus Crusade.

The Mk.X is a design that is more versatile than its predecessors. There is no one-size-fits-all naming or design, rather a modular system of Ceramite armor that can be customized for a variety of tactical roles, from the spotting and scouting capabilities of the Phobos pattern to the heavy Gravis pattern that of Aggressor Squads is worn.

The Mk.X has a number of different variants, such as the Mk.X “Gravis” heavy armor used by Commanders, Aggressor Squads, Eradicator Squads[40b] and the Jump-Pack capable variant used by Inceptor Squads will. The Gravis pattern of Mk.X armor is more heavily protected, allowing for a level of protection close to Terminator armor levels, but with the flexibility of standard designs. Vanguard Suppressor Squads use a lighter variant of the Gravis pattern, equipped with a jump pack and grav chute, known as the Omnis pattern.

Another variant of the Mk.X is the Mk.X Reiver or Phobos pattern. The suit's lighter Ceramite and streamlined design allow for greater mobility, and its servomotors are engineered to be completely silent. However, the design sacrifices protection for stealth and speed. As their name suggests, they are used by Reiver Squads and Vanguard Space Marine Squads.

The Mk.X also allows the use of a new type of weapon, such as. B. Bolt Rifles, Assault Bolters, Heavy Bolt Rifles, Boltstorm Gauntlets, Auto Bolt Rifles, Melta Rifles and Plasma Incinerators.

In the field, Space Marine Captains inspire those under their command to ever greater exploits, dealing massive damage at close range and in close combat.

This kit has 25 plastic components with which to assemble 1 Space Marine Captain in Gravis armor, armed with a chainsword, power sword or power fist, and boltstorm gauntlets. It is supplied with a Citadel 40mm Round Base.

This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly.
