Augusta, Maine, once a quiet city, was shaken by a brutal crime spree that left the local police baffled. Murders, beatings, and muggings struck fear into the community, with Lieutenant Jim Dugan and his team struggling to catch the elusive gang responsible. Their investigations led them to the Sons of Belial, a cult performing dark rituals in an abandoned attic. A violent confrontation ensued, and the gang was wiped out, but not without a deadly cost. Unknown to Dugan's team, they were marked by the ancient god Belial, cursed to transform into winged Creatures of his realm. As these former officers battle crime with their newfound powers, they unknowingly advance Belial's dark plan in the Shadow War.
