Orruk Boltboyz
Some Kruleboyz prefer to kill from afar, and together they form the Deffspikerz tribe. Many Ironjawz bosses have sneered at the mere idea, claiming "it's not orrky". But when the battle begins and the first kills come from the Deffspikerz, such slanderers fall silent. The Deffspikerz themselves just shrug and leisurely walk towards the survivors while they reload their crossbows. 'Kill half of them fast: These shooters like to say 'so you can kill the other half slowly.'
On the hunt, the Deffspikerz shoot to wound rather than kill, reveling in the sight of a crippled enemy limping away before the next salvo takes them down for good. In combat, they go straight for the headshot. Aim for middle ground and you'll probably hit the thickest armor, they argue, but hit the head and you'll at least disorient and stun the enemy long enough for the knives to finish the job.
As yoofs, many deffspikerz were orruks who hunted and killed small animals - though not so much for food as for use in target practice. They have miles of mean streak and the Marksman's Eye to make use of. For them, taking prey or defeated rivals while still alive, nailing them to tree trunks, painting them with crude bullseyes, and letting go, claiming it's more surfing than shooting a wriggling target is a commendable pastime still one.
All this practice pays off in combat as well. Many soldiers have dismissed an Orruk-Shoota line from Boltboyz as of little concern, believing them to be terrifying shots, only to find their two-foot man-pike bolts have a very long range and enough penetrating power to pierce a Sigmarite helmet. Even a cursory hit can be deadly, for it is common among the Deffspikerz to coat their bolts with the most horrific poisons - quag toad venom, milksnake oil, and powdered boat scorpion among them - and the spikes on each bolt are purposely made so brittle they break off and leave shards in the wound. With a sadistic cackle and a clatter of reloading arms, the Deffspikerz are soon ready to fire again. If the enemy somehow mounts a counterattack, the jagged, spiked bayonets projecting from the front of each crossbow are usually deadly enough to repel them.
This multi-part kit contains 41 components with which to build three Bolz'nschießa, with a variety of different heads and crossbow components that can be combined with all three bodies. There is also an option to build one as a Bolz'nschießa boss with a banner pole, two helmets to choose from, and a unique crossbow. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly. They are supplied with 3x Citadel 32mm Round Bases.
