In the Old World the dead and damned have no rest. Necromancers attempt to escape their mortality by searching the pages of cursed Books for forbidden knowledge. Ghouls stalk the graveyards, their insatiable hunger for the flesh of the dead making them abominations against nature. Wights guard the graves of those they served thousands of years ago, a perpetual vigil in the dark. And in Blood Bowl Court, long-dead players return to the scenes of their former glory and play Blood Bowl all over again.
While necromancy is banned throughout the Old World, actual teams of the dead are a welcome sight in many Blood Bowl stadiums around the world. After all, why pay to see old Cabalvision footage of these greats when you can come by and see them in (rotten, worm-infested) flesh!
There isn't much going on for the average Undead player though, as they tend to be slow, throw badly and the skeletons are usually carried off the field in 3 and 4 players. To balance this out, Necromancers have added mummies, ghouls, and wights to (erm) complete the team. This hasn't always proven very effective, however, as mummies generally take so long to dress up that with more than two in the team, you'll need to arrive four days early.
