Representing the classic image of the German infantryman during World War II, these miniatures are outfitted with knee-high boots, an unadorned "coalscuttle" helmet, and a combat discipline that led them to near-complete dominance in mainland Europe.

While glory often fell to the armored knights of armored divisions, infantry was the backbone of the Wehrmacht. Germany's cunning use of blitzkrieg tactics captured Poland, swept through the Netherlands and defeated France before turning its attention to the Soviet Union. Soviet forces were pushed as far as Moscow as the relentless march of Hitler's landing craft swept all ahead.
