Bannerblade
Vanari Bannerblades are champions of the Vanari caste. Only the most trusted and steadfast rulers of the Lumineth Empire can ever hope to assume the position of Bannerblade, for the majestic standards they carry - known as the World Banners - are extremely valuable.
Dropping a world banner in combat is absolutely unthinkable for the Bannerblade; Just the thought of such a valuable artifact falling into the bloody mud of the battlefield is enough to make them cringe in disgust. Therefore, all who hold this office are experts in a form of swordsmanship known as ollirathai, a term roughly translated into the Azyritic language as shield of swords. With its firmly planted hind foot, the Banner Blade is capable of bringing half a dozen enemies to a standstill while the standard remains immobile until the threat is neutralized.
Should the worst happen and the banner fall, its bearer will go into exile and seek to burn the weakness from their soul by stepping into the transforming light of Hysh's Perimeter Inimical. So far, no one who has done this has returned.
The world banners are banners enchanted and blessed by mages of each type of Aelementiri shrine and woven from aetheric sunsilk. The Syari's artifice ensures that they are seeded with sacred symbols and symbols of Elvish supremacy, such as the Eclipsians and Runes, which are charged by the Aelementiri Disciplines, transferring some of that magical power to the banner bearer.
The kit comes as 12 plastic components with which to make one Vanari Bannerblade, and is supplied with 1x Citadel 40mm Round Base.
