Auric Runeson on Magmadroth

Auric Runesons are the children of the Auric Runefathers and heirs to their throne of a Fyreslayers lodge. They are great warriors and the future of the lodges, hunting mighty enemies in the name of Grimnir in their zeal to become heroes in their father's eyes. They are hot-tempered and not afraid to prove their skill and fearlessness in battle. Their thirst for ur-gold is intense, and many Fyreslayer vaults are filled with trophies collected by these nobles.

They may be armed with Ancestral War-axes or Wyrmslayer Javelins, large missiles designed to take out large Creatures with hooks that snag on thick skin before piercing deep. Regardless of what weapon they use, they always carry Fyresteel Throwing Axes. Some Runesons also ride into battle on Magmadroths.

Magmadroths are gigantic fire lizards that spew searing blasts and scorch anything they touch with blood. Only the greatest of the Fyreslayers, Auric Runesmiters, Auric Runefathers, and the Auric Runesons can ride the flame-crowned pedestal mounted atop these molten-hide beasts. They live in volcanic caves and their bodies throb with the heat of those places. The Fyreslayers also hammer ur-gold onto or through their scales.

These large predators mainly attack with their claws and horns. Their lashing tails, which they use to communicate with each other, can also be used to slaughter lesser prey. They can also spit out a wave of flaming bile that burns through armor as if it were wax. When wounded, their bodies erupt jets of fiery blood that scorch anyone nearby, something fire slayers are usually skilled enough to avoid.

This multi-part plastic kit builds an Auric Runeson on Magmadroth, seated on an imposing chimney saddle, adorned with an ornate helm and armed with Fyresteel throwing axes and either a Wyrmslayer spear or an ancestral war axe. The spectacular Magmadroth comes with three crest options and a huge selection of additional components - pipes, bundles of axes, a drinking horn, and bundles of ancestral jewelry - perfect for creating a truly unique flamescaled Monster. This kit can alternatively be built as Auric Runefather on Magmadroth or as Auric Runesmiter on Magmadroth.

The additional components in this kit can also be used to build an Auric Runefather and an Auric Runesmiter on foot.

This kit comes as 95 plastic components, and is supplied with a Citadel 120mm Large Oval base and 2 Citadel 32mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.
