Archaeopter Stratoraptor
The Archaeopter is an aircraft of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
As the workhorse of the Mechanicum, the aircraft has been at the forefront of tech priest expansion for millennia. The aircraft is a manoeuvrable fixed-wing aircraft. Piloted by a Pteraxii whose legs and upper shoulder blade are hard-wired to its controls, the nano-carbon fibre fabric of the Archaeopter's wings is capable of transforming - a characteristic it shares with Pteraxii flight packs. This provides great manoeuvrability and allows it to operate at varying pressures.
The ancient design of the Archaeopter was eventually deemed sacred enough to accommodate sub-rolls, resulting in a number of variants.
- Stratoraptor: Ground-attack aircraft equipped with heavy phosphorus blasters, two Cognis laser cannons and Cognis Heavy Stubbers.
This kit can alternatively be used to build an Archaeopter Fusilave or an Archaeopter Stratoraptor instead, meaning that whichever unit you assemble, you will end up with plenty of spares to customise your collection. This kit comes in 94 plastic components and is Supplied with a Citadel oval base (170mm x 109mm) and a Citadel spherical shaft (115mm) with trunnion adaptor.
