Arch-Kavalos Zandtos
Zandtos is an extremely competent general, second only to Katakros himself in martial wisdom. As the Arch-Kavalos of the realm of the Ossiarchs, he leads the charge of the Bonereapers into the era of the Arcanum Optimar. it is his desire to purify Shyish by wiping out all living beings within it, even if it should take all of eternity.
Patru Zandtos, the Dark Lance, is the only general of Katakros' former existence that the Mortarch was allowed to remain whole. He doesn't have a shred of ambition to rise above his current rank. Instead, he focuses his efforts purely on causing the greatest possible damage to the living of Shyish, and wields his armies as devastating forces to systematically snuff out all that breathes in the realm. it is his Firm belief that the living have no place in Shyish; if he must see to their demise personally, he will do so, for his spear-arm never tires, nor do his vast armies. Even in mortal life Zandtos considered himself a purist, avoiding distractions for the single-minded pursuit of the Morbid Arts. For over sixty years he served as an assassin-mortician, worshiping death as he inflicted it on them—he was set to kill. Riding his Black destroyer to his victim On a lonely road he would put an end to them swiftly, dealing the deathblow with almost loving care. Unusually for an assassin, he would not flee the scene of the murder, but between those killed with great honor - despite the hard work of digging their grave and scooping out their innards and stitching up their wounds to make them presentable afterwards the killing would be Zandtos carry out these tasks professionally without complaint.
