Alexayev Battlefleet Set Information
The Alexayev is the largest Ekranoplan in the world and has been tasked with deploying small squadrons of hovercraft or even other Ekranoplans as part of a rapid response force at key locations. Named after Evgenievich Alexayev, the brilliant engineer who won the Tsar's bet by proving that his proposed Ekranoplan design was feasible.
A brutal addition to the White Navy and favored by northern captains, the Khatanga combines a fearsome Semyenov Pattern Assault Drill at the bow with the dreaded Cryo Generator.
The ground effect vehicles Dragunov and Stoletov were designed by Helsinki Markov himself after returning to The Commonwealth following years of studying with the Covenant of the Enlightened. They glide across the water's surface, excelling in swift rocket attacks and troop transports.
The Irkutsk Skydrill utilizes the repulsion field generator received by Helsinki Markov in 1856, often heard long before it is seen. The buzzing of overloaded field generators and the roaring of the Semyenov assault drill, spinning up to full speed, create a fearsome cacophony.
The Giyena moves swiftly across uneven Terrain, marshland, and open sea to deploy the potent Aural Dissonance Array (also known as the Shockwave Generator) in Selivanenko pattern.
The "Morskoi Orel" thundered across the waves at a speed unreasonable for its size. The Alexayev Ekranoplan Heavy Transport is a technical marvel, a case of human ingenuity over nature. Unlike the more esoteric devices of the Covenant of the Enlightened, this was a machine of raw power. Of course, lightweight Sturginium alloys were involved in construction, but when enough rockets are mounted on anything, it becomes fast. Most crew members wore ear protectors to dampen the deafening noise, even the officers on the bridge required discreet earplugs to prevent the worst of the thunderous clamor. The Alexayev is a ship that operates on the mantra of "strike fast, strike hard." It dives into battle, unleashing an overwhelming salvo from its multiple Katyusha salvos, and then unloads its cargo of hovercraft. This giant Ekranoplan is often the decisive blow in a Commonwealth Marine operation, and today would be no exception to that rule.
