Adeptus Titanicus is a game based on the combat between Battle Titans, the mightiest war machines in the Empire of Mankind. Set during the Horus Heresy, brother fights brother against brother for the fate of mankind.
In Adeptus Titanicus, you are the princeps seniors of a titan maniple, taking control of a range of war machines and communicating with your models through unique command terminals. The game is designed to make you feel like the commander, giving orders and directing your god machines to annihilate the enemy, destroy void shields and damage their systems before delivering one final fatal blow.
As you take the fight to your enemies, you'll need to manage your Titans' systems, from their plasma reactors and void shields to a variety of powerful weapons - but be careful, as stressing your reactor too much will result in consequences.
Adeptus Titanicus uses a system of alternating activations in different phases of movement, combat, damage control, and combat. This means that choosing which Titan to move, attack, command, or repair with can be crucial and mean the difference between victory and defeat.
The core rules of Adeptus Titanicus are simple and elegant, with additional rules such as Stratagems and Orders adding depth and complexity. Players can purchase a limited number of Stratagems before playing the game, allowing them to call in things like orbital strikes or utilize battlefield resources.
Titans can be given orders to increase their movement, repair additional systems, or even fire out of normal order - but if a Titan fails a command check for an order, you can't issue any more orders that turn, so you must do Be careful in deciding which commands are most important.
Adeptus Titanicus contains rules for specific Titan Legions, each with unique traits and equipment. In the rulebook you'll find the Legio Gryphonicus and the Legio Tempestus, as well as unique Princeps to bring some of the Horus Heresy's great heroes and villains onto the field.
